The two doctors on staff are very caring and really good about addressing the root causes of dry eye and scientifically addressing the problems (no ""you are too young gor dry eye"" or ""you look fine""). I discovered this practice through a Google search, and I am very glad that I selected this practice after being informed that I must obtain hard contacts for my keratoconus. All of the staff that I met at this practice were also very kind, and very professional which made me feel very comfortable and I am very grateful. I also ask a lot of questions, being that I’m new to all of this, and they assured me it was OK to ask as many questions as I wanted to. Dr Benjamin is great! After a thorough exam, he took the time to listen to me and created a solution that fit me and my life and activities - the ways I used my eyes. And not only did it work well, it was so good for me that years later when I needed cataract surgery, I explained it to my surgeon and he set my lenses up the way Dr Benjamin set up my contacts and glasses. I was referred by my AME for a color blind test for the new FAA regulations for a new student pilot. With a clear and informative talk with one of the doctors, I was able to obtain all the information about the specific FAA tests that are required that they also offer in their practice. Fortunately I was able to use that information to find a place closer to me that offers this service (which is not easy to find by the way). I highly recommend it. I went there for years, for my dry eye, fux dystrophy (sp), and when my eyes were damaged. The Azman brothers are awesome, very good at their jobs, they truly care, it is a spiritual environment, and doctors like this are not found often anymore. I started seeing Dr. Thomas Azman in 2005. I’ve seen his brother Irwin Azman also. Both great doctors! Thomas worked on my eyes at a greatly reduced price just because he wanted to. It’s their business and he can help who he wants, is what he told me. He discovered my dry eye issues and my fux dystrophy. He gave me the drops that are saving me from needing eye surgery. During COVID quarantine, in 2020, I got eye damage and that was the only office that would open for me, at first, despite not being open. There were a number of times where I needed to talk to Dr. Irwin Azman on the phone, when I was very stressed about my eye damage. He took the time talking with me that most other doctors wouldn’t. He would let me call him on his personal phone number whenever. He would have lengthy conversation s with me and walk me through my problems and stress. If he was in the middle of something, like picking up a prescription for his wife, he would call me right back to make sure I was okay. When I almost needed surgery, he asked me to let him find and hand picked the best surgeon possible, for the job. It was a guy in John Hopkins who was an a excellent choice. I ended up not needing surgery. Irwin even tried to save me hundreds of dollars by suggesting I do some of my tests with the other guy instead of him, so that my insurance could help more. Dr. Irwin Azman was clearly not in it for himself or money. I had him do it anyways though, because his opinion was one I highly valued. The only reason I don’t still go there is because they can no longer take my insurance. Otherwise, I would still go there. I always respect a practice that is openly spiritual! We shouldn’t underestimate the need to get God involved and the spiritual factor in medical issues. I highly recommend Azman Eye Care!!!!! Also, I should mention that when I was a patient here, I only lived near by for the first 2 years, but stayed a patient here from 2005-2020 despite it being an hour or longer drive away. That’s how worth it it was. Again, the only reason I stopped going there was because of insurance. Otherwise, I would still be there.
